She rarely cries (except when I try to put her to bed before she is due (hey, my coffee is waiting...)) but when she does big round raindrop tears roll out.
And like Lucy, Audrey's eyes immediately look as if she has smeared blusher all around them.
The tears remain for quite some time after, sitting atop the cheek, as if to serve as a reminder to not repeat whatever it was I did to cause them to arrive in the first place.
awww, sweet little audrey. leon's eyes are the same way after a crying bout. it really is amazing how those tears last and last.

ReplyDeleteyou have to take pics of them at all stages, in all moods..later you look at them and remember the beautiful tears.
i took giulietta to her first day of pre-school today. guess who cried? me...still heartbroken as she did not want to leave. and she is only there half a day.. ah well...she was fine once she was home and chattered on about the day.
it's hard though...today.

ReplyDeleteUrsula, I an always honing in on Audrey for a kiss. I have to agree with you about her lips! She does some funny things with them too. Lots of pursing and crooked smiles. She's such a character.
ReplyDeleteAnd poor you re preschool. I know exactly how you feel. I don't think I ever updated the blog in that respect - Lucy is a preschool dropout! It got too tough so I decided to wait a little longer. What a sook am I.
